Leadership Development
Become the leader others want to follow
Leadership doesn’t start with the people you lead, it starts with you.
Similarly, culture isn’t something we can blame others for not having. As a leader we need to show up in a way that is congruent with the culture we want to create.
That is why we constantly need to be learning, stretching ourselves, in the pursuit of becoming a better leader. But the question often is how?
How do we become a great leader? What skills do they have? Are they someone that puts the wellbeing of their team above all else? Is it someone who is able to get results every time with an almost unrelenting drive? Is it someone who inspires others with their actions? Is it someone who is able to coach others and bring out their best? Is it someone who focuses on the people? Is it someone who focuses on the numbers?
A truly great leader has all of these qualities. But they don’t have them in equal amounts all the time. It’s a balancing act that we need to undertake in order to truly create a positive impact as a leader within our organisations.
These leaders have something special about them. Something that I call Ferocious Warmth. Through this leadership development program I will walk you through how you can become a leader that has mastered this balancing act and is a leader that others want to follow.
When I look at Ferocious Warmth leaders I see leaders who have found the sweet spot between objectiveness and supportiveness. Leaders who are able to be people focussed yet results focussed at the same time. Ferocious Warmth is about leaders who are able to bring the strategic thinking that comes from having their head in the game while also wielding the emotional intelligence to inspire, motivate, and learn with those around them.
You might already have some great strengths as a leader but in order for you (or your team of leaders) to truly shine you need to develop those areas that may not come naturally to you, so that you can best support those you lead.
So how can we take you from the leader you are today to a Ferocious Warmth leader?
The Skills You will be developing
There are four key elements all Ferocious Warmth leaders excel in.
Expansive
Connected
Courageous
Authentic
Let’s explore each of these a little bit deeper so that you can see exactly how Ferocious Warmth helps you (or your leaders) develop the skills necessary to be strategic, emotionally intelligent, and learning driven as a leader.
01
Expansive
Expansiveness refers to a leader’s openness to disruption, change and innovation. It’s the ability to expand your own thinking as well as the thinking of those around you. Expansive leaders may be the first to spot new opportunities or possibilities and generally have a more optimistic outlook. Developing this skill helps you to build learning cultures within your teams and organisations.
02
Connected
Connected leaders genuinely love the people around them. They understand that every person in their team brings something to the table and understand that any mistakes that happen were not done with malicious intent. They believe in their work and the people that they work with which makes them compassionate and empathetic leaders. Their team is likely to feel respected, seen, and safe in the workplace allowing them room to create truly magical results.
03
Courageous
These leaders are brave. They are the leaders who are willing to stand up for what they believe in, have the tough conversations and are ready to address the hard challenges. Courageous leaders are the ones who are able to enact radical change within a business.
04
Authentic
Authentic leaders show up exactly as they are. The person you see in front of you is the person that they are behind closed doors. They excel at creating connection and collaboration by showing up as their most vulnerable selves. They are the people who are champions of professional intimacy and use their leadership and power to create a better world.
That’s what Ferocious Warmth – Leadership Development is all about! It’s about taking the traits that you already have and balancing them with traits that might not come as naturally to you, so that instead of being a leader that is either objective driven, or people focussed, you can be a leader who does both.
Leaders that can do both succeed in ways that almost seems impossible to those who haven’t mastered the art of Ferocious Warmth leadership yet.
If you are ready to push yourself to the next level of leadership…
